The short answer
Drantech typically charges $90 per hour for residential computer repair and $150 per hour for business work. Remote support has a 30-minute minimum; on-site work has a one-hour minimum. Parts are separate, and residential troubleshooting pauses after two hours ($180 in labor) for approval before more time is billed.
Residential rates apply to personal and household technology. Business rates apply to work supporting an organization. I confirm the applicable rate before work begins.
A remote session has a 30-minute minimum: $45 for residential work or $75 for business work. On-site work has a one-hour minimum: $90 residential or $150 business. After the minimum, time is billed in 15-minute increments: $22.50 residential or $37.50 business.
Parts, materials, software, and any agreed travel charge are separate from labor. A replacement part may not be the only cost: fitting it, transferring files, configuration, and checking the result can also take time. The scope should say which tasks are included.
For example, two hours of residential labor is $180 before separate charges. This is a labor calculation, not a promise that a particular repair will take two hours or a fixed-price repair package. Diagnostic time is paid labor even when the recommendation is replacement or no further work.
Residential repair and troubleshooting pauses after two hours for approval before additional time is billed. That checkpoint gives you a chance to weigh the findings and remaining work against replacing the device.
Larger projects are scoped and priced first. Written quotes and support agreements keep their agreed terms. If something changes the scope or expected cost, it should be discussed before proceeding.
Include the computer model, symptoms, when they began, and whether it can start and reach the internet. Mention important files and whether they are backed up. You do not need to diagnose the fault yourself.
For hands-on service, include your general location so I can confirm arrangements. Keep passwords and recovery keys out of the initial request. The rates page contains the current terms; availability and any additional costs are confirmed before work starts.
