Possibly. The answer depends on memory, processing resources, the model, and the work you expect it to do. I can review the hardware and explain the tradeoffs before recommending purchases.

What I can help with
Useful AI starts with a specific task. I help improve existing AI workflows and set up private AI instances, including local or self-hosted deployments where practical. We work through the hardware, model, interface, and data connections together, then test the setup against representative tasks.
- Private, local, or self-hosted AI instance setup and configuration
- Hardware and model selection based on workload, budget, and response needs
- Docker deployment and management, plus virtualization and GPU access where supported
- Improving prompts, reusable workflows, and connections to existing tools
- Planning document access, permissions, external integrations, and data handling
- Testing useful outputs, identifying failure cases, and documenting the handoff
Before you request help
Describe a task you repeat, the tools you use today, your available hardware, and examples of useful results. Mention privacy requirements and what data may leave your devices. Use non-sensitive examples for the initial conversation.
Common questions
Yes. I can help simplify repeated tasks, improve the instructions and context supplied to a tool, connect parts of a workflow, and test whether the result is useful for your work.
That depends on the agreed design. Local models can be part of a private setup, while cloud APIs, integrations, or hosted storage can send information elsewhere. We identify those connections and agree on data handling before implementation.
We choose representative tasks and compare results against the outcome you need. I help identify steps that need human review, document limitations, and agree on what happens when the workflow fails or changes.
Before we get started
How to arrange service
- On-site service
- Pittsburgh and Southwestern Pennsylvania, by arrangement. Include your general location so I can confirm whether an on-site visit is practical. Travel costs are agreed before work begins.
- Remote service
- Available elsewhere when the device, connection, and issue allow it. Tell me whether the affected device starts and can reach the internet.
- Scheduling & handoff
- Start a request, call, or text. I confirm availability, the service location, and any device handoff or shipping arrangements before you make a trip or send a device. Submitting a request does not reserve an appointment.
- What to send
- Include the device model or website, the symptoms or goal, when it started, and any deadline. Mention backup status for repairs. Keep passwords and recovery keys out of the initial request.
- Scope & approval
- Typical labor is $90/hour for residential work and $150/hour for business work. Parts are separate. Residential repair and troubleshooting pauses after two hours ($180 in labor) for approval before more time is billed.
